Euclid Public Library Now Offering Limited Services

For the past several weeks, EPL Staff has enjoyed hosting virtual storytimes, online book discussions, and programming, and partnering with our local schools to connect with our early readers while our building was closed.

While we anxiously wait to see our patrons, we know it is imperative to proceed with caution to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to our staff and the public.

To prepare for our reopening, our team has worked collectively to clean the building and materials thoroughly, in addition to installing sneeze guards, distributing personal protective equipment, and installing social distancing signage in the building.

The Library lobby is currently open to the public for limited services, including faxing and copying, and call ahead (216-261-5300 x 5196) hold pickups scheduled through our website “Chat with Us” feature or via email.

Limited Lobby service will operate as follows: 

Senior Hours

Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

To all patrons

Monday – Thursday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Saturday 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Our staff will wear masks to protect our community, and we encourage you to do the same when you visit.

Once we resume operations, Euclid Public Library will continue to enforce social distancing recommendations by discontinuing meetings and programs until further notice. We know this may pose an inconvenience for many, but we know these steps are necessary.

Euclid Public Library will also extend its Adult Chaperone Requirement policy all day, requiring youth 17-years-old and younger to be accompanied by a parent or adult chaperone, 21-years-old and older, while the library is open. During this transition, the library will continue to partner with our local schools to offer support and online learning databases, while hosting virtual programming on our various social media platforms. Unaccompanied youth will have access to the lobby for limited services.

The library encourages you to access audiobooks, eBooks, music, and video streaming services through hoopla, Kanopy, OverDrive, and Libby. It is my greatest responsibility to ensure the safety of the staff and the public while supporting the State of Ohio and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommendations. We will continue to assess our offerings and gather feedback from our patrons and staff to ensure we are considering all avenues.
