If you have not gotten your vaccine, please get the facts with Dr. Marcus Germany on Facebook live on June 16 at 6:30 p.m. or log on to euclidlibrary.org for resources on the vaccine and locations for free shots. Thank you for helping us all stay safe and healthy this summer. Now that it is summer time, I encourage everyone to join the Friends of the Euclid Public Library Summer Reading Program. The Reading Colors Your World program is for all ages! Reading alone, with your children, or grandchildren counts. My granddaughter Luna Grace is pictured getting ready for summer reading. As you are traveling to visit family and friends, listen to an audio book and track that as well in the Beanstack Summer Reading tracker. All ages are eligible to win free prizes throughout the summer and reading helps students stay on track for the upcoming school year. There are a variety of virtual programs, including Euclid High School graduate, Cornell University Associate Professor and new author Dr. Tamika Nunley. She will speak about her new book, At the Threshold of Liberty: Women, Slavery and Shifting Identities in Washington D.C. on Monday, June 14 at 6:30 p.m. In addition, join local faith leaders Pastor Kellie Sullivan of New Life Calvary Church and Father Isadore Munishi Chaplain at St. Vincent Charity Hospital as we discuss the book, and Masjid Bilal of Cleveland as we discuss the book, The Black Church: This is Our Story, This is Our Song by Dr. Henry Louis Gates on Monday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m. Director’s Report Kacie V.
